Robert Warren Hess
Robert Warren Hess is a lifelong performance improvement architect, practical technologist, and public health advocate. Robert works with corporate and private clients to define specific business and life objectives, develop plans to acquire the assets needed to reach these goals, and the milestones and
scorekeeping structures essential to keeping everything on track.
Robert learned the critical importance of planning and execution firsthand as a young Army officer while serving with airborne infantry and armor units in Vietnam and Germany. The critical importance of focusing on the ultimate objective of any activity was a constant theme throughout his Army career, including his service in the Pentagon and with the US Department of State. He brings this structured thinking and planning process to all of his client engagements.
He is the Founder and President of TSG Inc., a management information consulting firm based in Santa Monica, California, and a Founder of InterspaceLA, a market entry accelerator for foreign companies seeking to enter the US marketplace. TSG Inc. developed the TrakPointeTM task tracking and dashboard software solution now in use in the banking and technology development industries.
Robert also is a Senior Fellow at the Center for the Digital Future, which is part of the Annenberg School of Communications at the University of Southern California in Los Angeles. In 2009, he spent a year conducting field research and writing a report for the US Department of Defense on how military families were using social media tools to manage the extended family separations associated with US military deployments in Iraq and Afghanistan.
An author and teacher, Robert is a frequent book reviewer and blogger, and teaches the World’s Toughest LinkedIn Training Program, along with a special Social Media Bootcamp for CEOs and senior executives. You can find links to his book reviews on his LinkedIn profile.
A prostate cancer survivor and wellness advocate, Robert founded the Prostate Cancer Awareness Project based in Manhattan Beach, California, and created ProstateTracker, the first Internet-based prostate cancer early detection system. He was honored in 2013 by the Los Angeles Business Journal for his role in health advocacy, was selected as a consumer reviewer for prostate cancer research projects funded by the Congressionally Directed Medical Research Program, and he currently is developing a program to help prostate cancer survivors prevent their disease recurrence.
