Robert Boles is the Co-Founder and President of BLOKWORX. Robert brings more than 14 years of solving real business challenges for clients – ranging from individual and familyowned businesses to Fortune 500 corporations. Robert’s core belief in Security, Reliability, and delivering a Positive User experience drives BLOKWORX’s fundamental practice of building scalable, secure, IT Solutions that users enjoy working with. Prior to founding BLOKWORX, Robert was an Enterprise Systems Engineer for an international communications company providing Advanced IP services based on Cisco, Juniper, HP, and Checkpoint, among others. Robert was a highly-specialized engineer, one of only four in a company of over 200,000 employees. Robert worked cooperatively with Product Marketing, Sales Organizations, and Operations to create a suite of managed service offerings, and defined many of the processes and technology selected within the projects. Then, as a Systems Engineer directly supporting the sales organizations, Robert designed, successfully implemented, and seamlessly transitioned to the support team over 100 managed network solutions for clients among over 1,400 global locations. As a subject matter expert, Robert educated clients, engineering, and sales teams on the Advanced IP product portfolio, which consisted of Wide Area Network Services, Network Security Services, Colocation and Advanced Hosting. After seven years with the company, Robert made the decision to go back to his roots, and create an IT service provider which met his vision. BLOKWORX was driven from the start to provide fuller, friendlier, more complete IT Solutions for its clients. Given BLOKWORX’s exceptional client retention and long-term relationships, the formula is working. Robert was raised in Arbuckle, CA, a rural, agricultural town outside Sacramento. His father was a local businessman, and his mother managed the local bank. Following high school, Robert joined the United States Marine Corps and served in Operation Desert Shield/Desert Storm. This early-life experience impressed upon Robert the value of relationships, doing right by people, and teamwork. These were lessons which, in application, have fueled the BLOKWORX philosophy that, “If we always take care of our clients by doing right by them in the most honest way, and have fun in the process, then everything else will take care of itself.” A featured speaker for both internal and client presentations and events, Robert is widely valued for his integrity, passion for technology, and ability to solve business challenges.
