Peter holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Concordia University in Montreal. He received his certification as a Strength & Conditioning Specialist and as an Athletic Therapist in 1996 and 1997, respectively. To get a more profound understanding of sports performance, Peter received accreditation from the CHEK institute as a Golf Biomechanics Specialist and a CHEK level 2 Practitioner. Since 2000, Peter has co-owned The S.P.O.R.T. Specialists Inc. with his wife, Melanie Scrase. Both Peter and Melanie continually update their knowledge and communicate that to their clientele, a client base ranging from weekend warriors to amateurs and professionals from all sports. Peter has had the honour of being part of the pre-season and post-season physical testing for the Montreal Canadiens and their farm team, The Hamilton Bulldogs and has successfully developed dry-land training programs for Midget AAA hockey teams, elite swimmers, water-polo, runners and triathletes. A highlight of his career was when he was hired to work as the Athletic Therapist and Strength Coach for the Canadian Star Boat Sailing Team for the 2013 Olympics in London. Working closely with local golf pros in the area, Peter has been sought after to help with the strength and conditioning for young, up-and-coming golfers as young as 12 years old. Peter thrives on what seeing to what potential he can get a golfer to play. His attention to detail and ability to identify the slightest imbalances allows Peter to perfect his golfers’ abilities. He has lectured for major companies, universities, sports teams, communities, and to allied health practitioners, his scientific and logical approach to fitness and conditioning has been the focus of numerous television spots, newspaper articles, and radio spots.
