Mary E. King, Esq.
Mary’s career as an attorney began in 1993 after graduating
from Stetson University College of Law. She graduated
from the University of Florida with a Bachelor of Science in
Business Administration in 1988 and a Master of Business
Administration in Finance from Wake Forest University,
Babcock Graduate School of Management, in 1990. Mary was a founding
member of the recolonized chapter of Sigma Kappa Sorority, Beta Tau Chapter,
at the University of Florida. Her career in law has primarily focused on
representing individuals and businesses that have IRS tax problems, ranging
from unfiled tax returns to audits.
Mary is a member of the Florida Bar and licensed to practice in the U.S.
District Court, Middle District of Florida and the U.S. Tax Court. She’s a member
of the American Business Women’s Association—Sunrise Chapter, the
Sarasota County Bar Association, and the Sarasota Area Alumnae Chapter of
Sigma Kappa Sorority. As a native Floridian, she grew up in St. Petersburg
and has lived in Sarasota since 1999 with her husband Steve and their two
black Labrador Retrievers.
Mary is a frequent guest speaker for civic organizations. On several occasions,
she has also been a guest columnist for the Sarasota County Bar
Association’s monthly newspaper, The Docket. Mary has been interviewed
for the Bradenton Herald as well as numerous radio stations in the Sarasota
area concerning her knowledge of IRS issues.
