Lauren Groff
Lauren Groff is dedicated to helping businesses get the
technology they need to achieve their business goals. After
working as a Computer and Network Administrator for over
five years and being downsized twice, he decided to go out
on his own. He was a one-man band, fixing computers in his
living room when he started Groff NetWorks in 2005. Today,
Groff NetWorks is one of the leading providers of Managed Services and Computer
Support in New York’s Capital Region, serving businesses throughout Albany, Troy,
Schenectady, Latham, Saratoga Springs and Clifton Park.
Lauren’s company is centered on his philosophy of personalized service. Groff
NetWorks prides itself on delivering honest, reliable, high-quality service and
values their partnerships with clients. When you call Groff NetWorks for help, you
get a personable and professional IT expert to answer all of your questions, not an
automated 1-800 number. Lauren fully considers each client’s bottom line, budget,
and expectations while strengthening their infrastructure to boost their productivity
and profitability. Groff’s technology solutions are always customized to meet their
clients’ needs. This philosophy has helped Lauren to emerge into new markets and
build business relationships at an exponential rate.
Lauren graduated Cum Laude from Colgate University with a Bachelor of Arts in
Philosophy and Religion. He also proudly holds the prestigious Eagle Scout rank
from the Boy Scouts of America. As an active member of and former ambassador
for the Rensselaer County Regional Chamber of Commerce, he graduated from
the Chamber’s SmartUp business program and The Leadership Institute. He later
appeared as a guest on Chamber Chat on NewsTalk1300. He is a winner of Master
Schnizzer 2013 (TruMethods), and Marketing Genius of the month (TMT); he was
a finalist in the Better Your Best contest (TMT) and was recognized by The Albany
Business Review as a 40 under 40 winner.
Lauren is an enthusiastic and active member of his community. Lauren served as
an adjunct instructor at ITT Technical Institute in Latham, and he currently sits on
the technical advisory board at Mildred Elley School of Business and Technology
in Albany. He is the former President of the Downtown Troy Business Improvement
District, which he helped launch and still participates as a board member. Lauren
has been featured in local newspapers, magazines and news channels. He is a
volunteer for Joseph’s House Inn From The Cold and an active member at Terra
Nova Church. He, his wife and their four children live in and love historic downtown
Troy, NY!
