Dr. Jesse Chai graduated from the University of
Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry in 1998. Early in his
career he worked in nursing homes and around the
Toronto area. It was in those nursing homes that Dr.
Chai realized the true impact of improper dental care. After spending a
year in Niagara Falls and Niagara-On-The Lake, he eventually settled
in Bradford, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Jesse Chai is the owner and senior
dentist at Bradford Family Dentistry and has been recognized for his
contribution to the town of Bradford, having won the Entrepreneur of
the Year award in 2006, Business Excellence award in 2010, and Customer

Dr. Jesse Chai is committed to Excellence and has obtained more than
2000 hours of continuing education, and strongly believes in providing
his patients with the best treatment he can possibly provide. His office

as well as John DiJulius, author of “What’s the Secret? To Providing a

Dr. Jesse Chai enjoys running a family practice and provides many services
ranging from routine Tooth Coloured fillings and cleanings to services
such as Root Canals, Wisdom Tooth Removal, Implants, Dentures,
Ceramic crowns and bridges, Headache and TMJ treatment, Snoring and
sleep apnea treatment, Braces and Orthodontic treatment for children
and adults, Cosmetic Dentistry and Veneers, and Sedation Dentistry.
Dr. Chai has incorporated a great deal of technology into his practice to
also help him provide what he feels is better services to his patients. The
technology Dr. Chai chooses to incorporate serves three main functions:
1. better diagnostic ability for prevention,
2. better ability to show patients what is occurring in their mouths so
they can make informed decisions regarding their dental care and
3. saving the patients time by using technology to provide more
efficient care.
He uses intra-oral cameras and digital cameras to help patients see
what is happening in their mouths. He uses digital x-rays to reduce the
patient’s radiation exposure and also allows patients to see more easily
what is occurring in their mouths as images can be blown up to the size
of the computer screen. He uses an in-office crown-making machine
called Cerec AC which allows patients to receive Porcelain crowns and
fillings in one office visit which greatly cuts down on office visits and
the patient’s time away from work. Dr. Chai also uses laser technology
for more rapid tissue healing and gum tissue treatment. He also uses
a special cavity-detecting laser called a Diagnodent to help find cavities
at their earliest stages. He uses an Oral Cancer Screening device
called a Velscope to help detect oral cancer at the earliest stages. Dr.
Chai also uses electric motors to reduce drilling times in the mouth, and
rapid-curing lights that can harder your fillings in as little as one second.
This greatly reduces the time to place your fillings, and helps reduce
the time you are in the dentist’s chair!
Your comfort is another area of technology Dr. Chai has invested in,
with Memory foam padded dental chairs, and some chairs with massage
and heat functions. There are also TV’s in each treatment room
for your entertainment while you receive your dental care.
Dr. Chai is married and has one young son who he enjoys hanging out
with at home. Dr. Chai also enjoys reading and learning. He is passionate
about self-improvement, and is often found listening to audio
programs on his iPod, watching educational videos on his computer, or
traveling and attending live events. Dr. Chai enjoys watching TV and
movies with his wife.
