Hollis Colquhoun

Hollis worked on Wall Street for 20 years and was one of the first female institutional bond traders. She later became an Accredited Financial Counselor for a nonprofit credit counseling agency and counseled thousands of clients around the country, most of whom were women in financial trouble after divorce or death of a spouse, because they had no clue how to manage their finances. Hollis wanted to rectify this situation, so she and a co-counselor wrote the Amazon Bestseller: Women Empowering Themselves: A Financial Survival Guide to give women a basic understanding of net worth, budgeting, saving, credit reports, goal-setting and resources. Currently, Hollis is working on a special program for women who are just coming out of a marriage; one that will empower them to think more clearly and get financially educated and aware, before meeting with their lawyer and financial adviser. Hollis is passionate about personally and financially empowering women; she writes articles for blogs and magazines such as such as More, WE and Self magazines. Hollis is also a martial artist - she holds black belts in both Karate and Tae Kwon Do.
