Eric K. Dixon, USATF/IAAF Sprints

Coach Eric Dixon has competed and coached Track, Speed and Agility for over 30 years, concentrating mainly on sprinting events (60m-800m). In recent years, his educational focus has been on Sport Specific Speed Training and Sports/Strength Conditioning Training. He’s trained youths and adults in Baseball, Football, Soccer, Gymnastic (vaults and floor), Tennis, Volleyball, Skeleton, Cross Country and Track. Eric Dixon is CEO and head coach of Tachyon Track Club and Tachyon Training Center. Coach Dixon has held the assistant coach positions at the High School and Collegiate levels. In his last 5 years of coaching, he has coached several nationally ranked youth athletes; American Masters record holders, and World Masters record holders. Coach Dixon has coached one athlete to a number 2 National Youth ranking in the 110 hurdles and coached the Orange County, CA high school (sophomore) female 200m record holder and qualifier in the 100m and 200m for the US Area Youth Olympic Selection Trials, Arlington, Texas – April 2010. He has also coached both the 2010 and 2011 Orange County Championships 100m winners. Coach Dixon also coaches the Athena track team: a National Masters Women’s Track club which currently holds five World and American records in the 4 x 200m, 4 x 400m and 4 x 800m relays. He also coached one Masters Sprinter (W71) to American and World Indoor/Outdoor records in the 60m, 100m and 200m. Coach Dixon competes for USA Track and Field in the Master’s Men’s Division sprints (60m to 400m) in National and International competition. A Sports Strength Condition Trainer, USA Track & Field (USATF) Level 2 Sprints/Hurdles, Relays Coach and USATF/IAAF (Youth Specialization) Level 2 Coach. He is also one of 26 coaches in the US accepted into the IAAF Level 5 Coaches Academy (Elite Coach) Program for Sprints and Hurdles. He is certified to coach Elite Youth and Adult athletes for International level competition via USA Track & Field and the International Association of Athletics Federations (IAAF). In addition, he is a spokesperson for the USA Track & Fields Win With Integrity Program and director of USA Track & Fields Coaches Education Programs: Level 1 Schools for the Southern California area (where we coach the coaches).
