Dr. Michael W. Payne is a highly educated and experienced specialist plastic surgeon with a proven track record within the plastic and aesthetic surgery industry across the UK and Germany. Born in Seesen, Lower Saxony in Germany, Michael was initially educated at the University of Cologne, before going on to study Human Medicine at the University of Berlin in 1987. With a keen interest in sports – especially handball, athletics, high jump and javelin – Michael ventured off to run a windsurfing school in Sardinia, Italy for a period of time. Following that, he secured work at Disney World in Florida where he spent a year meeting new people and building relationships. Becoming a fully qualified Doctor in 1996 and enjoying training at the University of Pittsburgh, Lancaster Hospital in California and the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, Michael followed his passion by exploring his growing interest in plastic surgery. Holding these positions allows him to deliver his specialty to hundreds of individuals across the UK and Germany, including a growing list of celebrity clients. Michael’s passion does not detract from his moral compass of ensuring that prospective clients are advised and guided correctly regarding specialist procedures, ensuring that he remains ethical and authentic to his craft and purpose. Being a focused and driven individual with a flair for cosmetic surgery, Michael has mastered his skill over a decade of practicing in this industry having studied in Berlin, Frankfurt, Hagen and Vogtareuth before moving to the UK in 2004. As a specialist surgeon with The Hospital Group, Michael performs hundreds of surgeries annually, carrying out a range of procedures from breast augmentation to plastic and hand surgery. Such is his reputation within the sector; he was headhunted by BHZ Vogtareuth in Germany who offered him the position of Head of Department of Plastic Surgery, Breast Surgery and Hand Surgery which he fulfilled from 2008 up to March 2010 before returning to the UK. A true believer in giving something back, Michael undertakes regular charity work with Multiple Interplast Plastic Surgery Aid Camps in India, Tanzania and Paraguay. As a way of relaxation, Michael enjoys traveling, sport and literature.
